ABOUT CLOUDBERRY WELLNESS
Uvluumi, Drin Gwiinzih, Good Day!
Cloudberry Wellness was established in January 2021, with the goal of increasing mental health supports in the Beaufort Delta Region. With roots in community care, healing connection, and supporting the decolonization of health and wellness, Cloudberry Wellness aims to focus on partnership, capacity building, and providing quality care and support in a safe and gentle way.
Rachel Schooley is a mental health occupational therapist who is grateful to call the Inuvialuit and Gwich'in lands of Inuvik, NT home. Occupational Therapists take an occupation-based approach to their work, with occupations meaning the things that occupy our time (this could be work, school, self-care, socializing, and many other things). Rachel understands the importance of feeling safe, connected and supported when managing ones' wellness. Rachel believes in a holistic approach that considers all strengths and barriers, including the physical, mental-emotional, cognitive-neurological, socio-cultural, spiritual and environmental. Rachel is passionate about supporting Indigenous-led initiatives that are doing the work to decrease systemic barriers and promote wellness in a culturally meaningful way. Rachel has supported several land-based wellness programs, community programs and also offers mobile therapy services, with sessions in the comfort of your home, in the community, or on the land.
WHAT DOES CLOUDBERRY WELLNESS DO?
ONE-TO-ONE MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
Tailored Approaches to Mental Wellness
Via a person-centered, trauma-informed and collaborative approach, Rachel tailors supports to client needs, with a focus on self-compassion, engaging in meaningful activities, psycho-sensory modalities, and holistic assessment and intervention. Support is available for folks across the lifespan who are dealing with mental health issues, substance use issues, trauma, chronic pain, caregiver burnout, cognitive decline or other difficulties that may impact wellness.

GROUP FACILITATION AND PRESENTATIONS
Supporting mental wellness and skill-development in a group setting
Rachel has many years of experience with group facilitation in group settings, whether it be a camp, an afternoon gathering, or co-facilitating as a guest. Rachel feels that the new ideas, peer support, and connection that come from group programming is incredibly beneficial to individual and community wellness. Rachel is also able to present to working teams, students, and other groups on various topics surrounding mental health.
CONSULTATION
Understanding Mental Health
Rachel offers consultation services for people, groups and organizations looking for direction but who may not be interested in regular sessions. Rachel also provides consultative services for teams and programs that are in development or transition, and are interested in guidance around mental wellness-related skills and strategies.

WITH GRATITUDE
Cloudberry Wellness is extremely grateful to have been able to work with, and have the support of, the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation, Gwich'in Tribal Council, Western Arctic Youth Collective, Inuvik Mental Health Awareness Working Group, Nihtat Gwich'in Council, Inuvik Community Corporation, Inuvik Homeless Shelter, and each person that has trusted Rachel to walk alongside them in their wellness journeys.

An important part of Cloudberry Wellness is giving back to the community. Rachel is dedicated to demonstrating her gratitude by being an active member of this community, volunteering hours to various initiatives, and supporting local and Indigenous-led programming and partnership.
COMMUNITY
Rachel feels it is important to implement acts towards reconciliation in practice. An active member of the Mental Health Awareness Working Group and Inuvik Homelessness Coalition, Rachel has a goal of donating 10 volunteer hours per month towards community care initiatives.
